The BAM Collective is a South African womenswear brand with a keen focus on modern consumer behaviour and trends. Often finding inspiration within the modern societal landscape and youth culture, the brand looks at human interaction in order to deliver ideas around contemporary society and the feelings connected to our current surroundings.

Designing since the age of 9, Jacques Bam has always had a fascination with the fashion industry. Enrolling to study Fashion at LISOF during 2015, Jacques ultimately progressed to become the Cape Wools SA fashion bursary holder for 2017 and subsequently graduated his degree cum laude the same year. His debut collection entitled HEDONISM showcased at the annual LISOF fashion show during 2017, where it placed as runner-up for best overall collection and received the special mention award for outstanding work from LISOF founder and CEO Shana Rosenthal. The collection has since been showcased at the Design Indaba simulcast in Johannesburg during 2018.

Working in styling during the course of his studies, Jacques has developed a fascination for contemporary society and youth culture. He often finds inspiration for his collections from the people surrounding him. Inspired by the way in which people act and react within the larger societal landscape.
